On my way back to the hotel I stop by what I think is a small collection of shops - I may want a drink, plus I'll check on the band-aids here. In a micro-grocery store I also see a plug converter that I need to pick up.
Turning the corner I see a few more stores, and then a few more, and then I'm in the atrium of this shopping center megalopolis with at least six levels! All the stores are small and crammed to the gills with what they are peddling. I get the USB cable I need and I'll stop back by and get the converter on my way out.
Some interesting store names, though:
Honey and Bee (ladies fashion)
Shooting Star Station (jewelry)
It's Hairy! (haircuts)
The Knotty Shop (cross stitch gifts - seriously!)
Malaysia Reptile House (leather goods and purses)
Wait A Coffee (snack bar)
House de Boneless Chicken (restaurant?)
There is a little internet cafe that takes an unusually strict view on gaming. Check out the sign on the window:

Yes, did you tip well? You do remember that is what you were suppose to do, right???
John
Man, did you find the secret magui / electronics store?! lol
MikeD!
In Singapore, electronics are pretty close to US prices - not cheap enough to warrant buying anything. I'm going to Malaysia this weekend...that's where the deals are!
So are we gonna get anymore updates...you have people waiting....
John
hehe, yeah...i just wanted to use my gremlins joke again! sounds like you're having an interesting experience up there.
Bring on the updates? How's your movie watching (catching up) going?
Man this blog is just leaving me cold....did you forget your fans....man you went all rock star on us.
JMR
maybe he has work to do?....
who knows.
gaming is illegal? what? did you ask about that?
I think that they just really wanted to keep people from monopolizing their systems. I haven't heard of gaming in general being illegal.
